Tis The Season to be snobby

 Cold and Snowy

The other evening my children and I were in the mall browsing and just enjoying the holiday season. While we were in JCP, I decided to make a payment since I was in the store. We were in line and it was two customers in front of us. The cashier was dealing with them and she looked up and asked me if I was here to pick up an online order in a bit of a snobbish tone. I replied no and continued to wait until she finished helping the customers ahead of me. When it was my turn I told her I was making payments on cards. I don't know if she didn't quite know how to do it or if she was just in a bad mood. She was very stand offish and asked what amount would I be putting in for payment and I told her $30. As she proceeded to take the payment she must have done something wrong because she was rolling her eyes and breathing deep and hitting the keys a little hard. It finally went through and I proceeded to make the next payment. The cashier asked again, what amount would you like to put in? I told her $30 again. In a sharp tone she says swipe your card and I did. I had the money in my hand and extended it to her and she took her time before she snatched the money from my hand and printed out my receipt. So I replied, Oh to be 30 again! Wouldn't it be nice if turning back time was as easy as just saying 30 again? The cashier looked up, smiled and said yes being 30 again would feel really good right about now. I told her well on Christmas morning if you wake up and you're 30 again think of me! She smiled and giggled a little. I wished her happy holidays and walked away. I showed my children that even when people choose to be nasty and rude you can show them how to be, by treating them with kindness in spite of their behavior. The woman may have given me a lemon attitude but I gave her pink lemonade in return. Now she has to think to herself how she was nasty towards me, for no reason at all but I still treated her with kindness.

Unbelievable

Cold and rainy 2:12 pm
"Baffled"

It's truly amazing how people choose to see the negative in a room full of positivity. You can have a ball room decorated to the nines and all they will see is the one build in the chandelier that is not as bright as the others. Why do we do that? Why is it so hard for people to learn to appreciate the 98% that is right before they spend so much time pointing out and complaining about the 2% that isn't quite so perfect. It's just too much! In a world full of uncertainty of life that can't celebrate the daily victories of being alive and well another day. Can we learn to see and celebrate what is right and good more often? "Just saying!" Thank you and have a blessed day!

Chilly & Rainy outside

Today my daughter has something going on in her classroom called ERE. I am scheduled to arrive by 1p.m.  This weather is crappy and my head hurts like crazy but I have to show up. I had a latte from Dunkin, a hot shower and some meds and the pain refuses to leave me alone! I am sleepy as ever and all I want to do is hop in my bed and rest. Time to get moving so I can get Faith and myself dressed and ready to go. Have a blessed day America!

The Snow, The stores, and The People

March 14,2017
Tuesday 11:13 p.m.
Cold & Dark outside

I cannot believe all the craziness that went on over this little bit of snow that fell. Grocery store parking lots were filled to capacity and some stores even had lines to get into the store. I was just looking like, seriously? I grabbed a few items from Walmart and called it finished. The meat department was pretty wiped out in all the stores. I am truly looking forward to winter making a quick exit and leaving the door wide open for spring to walk through. I don't like to be cold! I wish I could live in a warm climate during the winter months. I am finishing up a nice, hot cup of Chai Spice black tea with milk and sugar. Time to retire for the night. Stay warm and sweet dreams America! God bless!

Woo Wee It's Winter!!

January 9, 2017

16 Degrees F
Cold & Sunny

Good morning,

It's a cold one out there this morning! Be sure to bundle up and stay warm. Winter is indeed here and putting his foot down. I am not of a fan of this season. I enjoy Autumn, Spring and Summer but I don't really care for Winter. You have to put on so much clothing, the ice and snow gives way to tragedy on the roadways. People get colds, flu, and pneumonia! Then there's the shoveling of the snow and when it melts down it's a bunch of puddles and mud everywhere. Winter makes everyone feel lazy and just want to stay in bed. Anyway, just want to wish everyone a prosperous and healthy 2017! Have a blessed day in the Lord. Remember to treat your fellow man/woman with respect and kindness. Treat others the way you yourself would want to be treated. Jesus is watching and we should want to make Him proud.

God bless!
