Chase away the blues!!!!

        I woke up this morning feeling down. I had a headache and felt so tired, as I do most mornings. I got up, brushed my teeth and headed straight to my coffee maker. I made toast and didn't really enjoy it at all. I thought about the many things that needed to be done and how tomorrow is MONDAY! I grabbed my cell and glanced my Facebook page. I came across a post a dear friend of mine put on my page a few days ago. I grabbed the phone and gave her a call. I know out of the females that I have called friend over the years only two has supported me in my book writing. Uraina Davis and Tanon Patrick, thank you two so very much. There is another lady that I have known for about two years is Angela Tate and she has supported me as well. Thanks so much for your support and encouragement to keep writing. God bless you all!
     Uraina, thanks for chatting with me today and letting me know that my writing is enjoyable and meaningful and has substance. We may not talk often but when we do it's always a pleasure. Thanks my dear friend. May God continue to bless your life abundantly.

ME TIME, PLEASE!!!

Feeling a little annoyed lately. There never seems to be any time left for me and what I need. I constantly run here and there and picking up this one and that one and I am just tired of it. From the moment I open my eyes and I am doing something for someone other than myself. I thank God that I get a little time to myself in the shower. That's when I pray and talk to God because I wouldn't make it through the day without Him. It seems that everytime I sit down I have to hop right back up and go three minutes later. Like right now for instance, I have to go pick my son up from football practice and  then take him to his school dance. Then run to grab a few things from the store for tomorrow. Have a blessed weekend!


Tired and just all sortsa cranky!!!  

Change can be annoying!!!

    Every time my son Isaiah has a football game it either falls on a Sunday or it's early Saturday. This weekend my son Elijah has a game on Saturday evening. Isaiah has a game on Saturday as well but the time changed to 5pm and Elijah's is at 7pm. That will not work for me because Elijah's game is about an hour and fifteen minutes away. Out of all the weekends to make Isaiah's game an evening game they chose this one!!! This change in time just messed my whole Saturday plan up!!!

GRADUATION PARTY CLASS OF 2014

    It's amazing how there's always someone who has to ruin a perfectly good party. The kids were enjoying themselves and dancing at the Graduation party last night and then came the drama. One of the young ladies who attended, her ex-boyfriend got jealous and cut up. He was upset that she was dancing with another young man and lashed out. He hit her upside her head with a bottle. When they say love hurts, I don't think that's what they had in mind. Crazy young folks! Then there were some who attended that weren't invited, and they arrived under the influence so they had to be escorted off the property. Who just arrives at someone's personal party at their home without being invited? Just ridiculous, wake up and get a clue! Ummm.... just don't understand it. They say the young folks are the future, well, thank God some of them have some sense. Keep our young people in prayer is all I can say.

"Just food for thought"

  When someone hurts you and they ask to be forgiven, do you really forgive from your heart? Do you just say you forgive them but secretly you really didn't. Are you harboring things in your heart? Are you dwelling on what they did and holding their forgiveness hostage even after you've claimed you have forgiven them? Is total forgiveness only given from God to man? It seems as humans we expect the people in our lives to be perfect and when they mess up, we throw them away and forget by the grace of God there go I. We want God to forgive us but we can't seem to forgive people. If God was to throw back in our faces all the mistakes we've ever made we would all be walking around faceless.

SLEEPY SLEEPY SLEEPY

  I enjoy the sound of the soft rain falling but it tends to make a person sleepy. Its been ages since I've had a nap and as much as I would like one, I can't. I have a few things to do and I have little ones who aren't quite old enough to tend to themselves if I was to take a snooze. So, instead I sip my Espresso, surf the web, and just relax a while. I hope you're making the most of this rainy, relaxing Friday as well.

SNOW...REALLY? LOL

   It's funny how we have had all four seasons within a few days. Last night we had snow after having some nice, warm days. My kids looked out the window in disbelief when they saw the snow falling. I told them in this day and age, anything is possible with the weather.

WHERE ARE YOUR MANNERS????

   I'm really trying to understand how some folks can just out right ignore a baby? We are at the grocery store, in the aisle where the pasta sauce is and a lady is there as well so my daughter says hello to her. Now mind you she's a very grown woman and my baby is only 2 but she said hello to the lady. The lady didn't respond so my daughter got closer to her and said hello and waved her little hand. Do you know that winch had the nerve to just straight ignore my baby? Now you don't have to stand there and hold a damn conversation with her but you can speak, it only takes a second. Maybe she had issues and doesn't like black people but you don't do that to an innocent little baby. I can truly slap a heffa for that right there! That is very tacky and uncalled for. Lord, please keep me from that type of ignorance. I pray that life never brings me to the point that I can straight be that rude to a child, or anyone for that matter. I pray for that woman, that God touches her heart and sets her free from that.

Cinnabon Disappointment

OMG.... my family and I went to the mall yesterday and hubby purchased me some Cinnabon. I was skeptical about getting it at first but its that time of the month and I wanted something sweet. It was very soggy and rubbery. The bottom of the box was soiled as if it sat all day. I am appalled they charge so much for a small cinnamon bun and it taste like that! I want a refund or a new Cinnabon Roll!!!

PRICES GONE WILD!!!

I wanted to purchase an organic lemon last night and I was surprised when I saw the price. I thought maybe the sign meant to say $1.49 a lb. Nope, it was $1.49 per lemon and it wasn't even a big lemon. What's up with that? I was in the cereal aisle and to my surprise I see cereal anywhere between $6 to $8. Are you serious?? REALLY??? Needless to say, the cereal stayed on the shelf and I grabbed a regular lemon for .69 cents and called it done! I can't wait to get to heaven so I can just pick my fruit off the tree free of charge!!! Lol

WISHING EVERYONE A BLESSED 2014! THE YEAR HAS DEFINITELY STARTED WITH A BANG!! WE HAVE HAD RECORD LOWS IN TEMPERATURE THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS. A NOR'EASTER STOP BY TO SAY HAPPY NEW YEAR AS WELL. WE HAVE HAD SPRING WEATHER AND WINTER WEATHER ALL IN ONE WEEK. IT'S BITTER COLD OUTSIDE TODAY, PLEASE STAY WARM AND SAFE!
