THANKSGIVING DAY!

    Oh my goodness! My Thanksgiving was not a happy one. I had a massive migraine attack 10 to 15 minutes before it was time to eat. I was so upset, another holiday my family has without me. I was in bed the whole day and night! Then to add insult to injury, this morning I threw out my back. So I swapped out one pain for another. I just cannot win!!! Hoping tonight will be pain free for me. I'm making another round of candied yams and biscuits right now. I'm guessing after tomorrow the turkey will be gone along with everything else. Hope everyone had a great 2013 Thanksgiving Day.

FRESH BAKED COOKIES CRAVE!!!!

    Why does cold weather make you want fresh baked chocolate chip cookies? Nestle Toll House or Pillsbury chocolate chip will do just fine! Cookies and a nice tall glass of milk with ice would be lovely right about now!

Tired but Hopeful

Good morning!
          It would be so lovely if there was an annual mommies getaway. I would prefer it to be shortly  after Thanksgiving so we can recoup from all that cooking and prepare to cook again for Christmas. Cooking two to three times a day everyday for 8 is very tiresome. I could use a nice nap on a Caribbean island. I want to wake up and tend to just ME for a change. For now, all I can do is sip my espresso and dream. Have a blessed day Moms everywhere!

2 SICK KIDDIES

    OMG! I am so tired. I have two of my 6 kids are sick. One started this morning and had to be picked up from school and the other right after school. Once we got in the car and headed out to grab a few items from the grocery store she was quiet most of the ride. Then she finally told me her tummy wasn't feeling to great. Once we got into the store and started grabbing a few items she needed to run to the restroom. Wouldn't you know it, both stalls were occupied so she had to vomit in the darn sink! Uggghhh.... not fun but it was better than the floor! Needless to say we hurried and grabbed chicken noodle soup, orange juice, cranberry juice, ginger ale, and saltine crackers. OH and don't forget tissue!! Now I have two kiddies with loose bowels and vomiting. I am bleaching toilets like crazy and Lysol things up and down! Hand sanitizer to the rescue. They are both showered and put in their beds to rest for the evening, I hope! Have a great night's rest everyone! This is today's daily drama! I'm going to listen to some smooth jazz til I fall asleep.

FRIDAY'S FOOTBALL FOWL UP

    My son got hurt during his football game last night. I was not a happy camper and neither is he! He is using crutches and he has this huge thing on that goes from his foot up to his knee. He has to get a MRI next week but in the meantime he's icing his foot and staying still for a bit. Then to add insult to injury my other son got sick from food he ate from a restaurant near by. He was running to the bathroom frequently. I ended up leaving the football game by the end of the second quarter to get him home. Friday night was just to much drama for this mama!

THE GAME

    Today the Monroe Falcons are going head to head with the Sayreville Bombers. I wish both teams the best of luck. I am praying that I can keep the migraine pain at bay for the day so I can attend the game.

BATTLE OF THE CRAVE!!!!

   It seems like the craving of chocolate goodies are always the hurdle on the track of weight loss! Triple chocolate chip cake, fudge brownies, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate coconut cake, etc. No matter how hard we try to leave that chocolate alone, it seems to be damn near impossible to do! Snickers, Hershey's Bar, Kit Kat, Lindt, Almond Joy, Skor, Chunky Bar and more. Chocolate! Chocolate! Chocolate! Today I saw a picture of an Oreo Cookies & Cream Cheesecake and fell in love immediately! Lol Oh Lord Jesus! Keep me Father! Don't be a slave to the chocolate crave!
