BROWNIES FOR MY BABIES & A GAME OF TROUBLE

      Celebrating my last weekend of 2012 with my kiddies. Just finished baking some fudge brownies for us all with a scoop of ice cream on the side. I will have a glass of milk with mine though. We are going to play Trouble and just relax the rest of this evening. Hope everyone else is having an equally pleasant evening with their families.

A REALLY LATE BREAKFAST!!!

    Happy Saturday afternoon! The snow is coming down outside my kitchen window as I cook a late breakfast. I got up later than usual because my sleep was broken so many times throughout the night. The baby woke up about 2 a.m. and didn't go back down til about 4 a.m. Then she woke back up around 6 a.m. after having something to drink and playing a while she went back to sleep within 45 minutes. Then my phone rang at 7a.m. I went back to sleep around 8:30 and slept til about 11.
       Right now I am making some grits w/cheese, toast, applewood bacon, and coffee for a quick breakfast. I have a few errands to run in the midst of the snow falling. It's a beautiful sight but a pain to shovel up when it's all done! Have a bit of a headache due to my sleep being broken so many times. Praying for relief because I don't want a full blown migraine today, to much to get done. Have a blessed day all!

JCP BUTTON PROMO 2012

   JCPENNEY had a button promo this holiday season, which started on Black Friday. When you visit your local JCPenney you would get 2 buttons at checkout. You go online at home to jcp.com and follow prompts to punch in your 7 character code. After you have done that, you would check your email to find out if your button is a winner. You could win coupons, gift cards, trips, etc. I think this was a great holiday promotion and I hope they do it again next year. The one problem they need to fix is the codes. I had approximately 10 buttons that all had codes that had already been used. I was a bit upset. Apparently others were having the same issue everywhere the promo was taking place.
       Anyway, great holiday promotion JCP, please do it again next year!

Another senseless shooting spree

     My deepest sympathies to the Sandy Hook Elementary victims and their families. May God be with the families who are grieving and trying to deal with their great loss. God help us all because there are so many people walking around with anger and taking it out on others. I advise America to get on your knees a bit more often and pray for your loved ones. IF you don't know Jesus yet, I suggest you get to know Him, TODAY.

THE HOLIDAY TREATS

     I don't know about you all but the Thanksgiving goodies sure put a hurting on my hips! The sweet potato pie and side dishes packed on the pounds this year. I need Tae-Bo like never before! Lol The sad part of it is, it's not even over yet. We still have the Christmas dinner and desserts to deal with. Good luck with holiday treats temptations! I still have sweet potato pie breath! Good morning!
           I just wanted to thank Shop Rite for changing the price from $400 back to $300 for the free turkey. My hubby and I went in last night and grabbed a few items that I will be needing for Thanksgiving dinner. We did get our turkey, so that's done and out the way. I do have one gripe, it was very hot to shop with a bunch of stuff and stockers in every isle blocking all the shelves and groceries. It was like rush hour traffic in NYC at Shop Rite last night. Anyway, I am glad they changed the price back to having to spend up to $300 for the free turkeys. Thanks Shop Rite!

SHOP RITE, PLEASE STOP THE MADNESS!!!

       Why is it that Shop Rite goes up $100 to get your so-called "Free Turkey." Where you would have to buy $300 worth of grocery to get a free turkey, you now have to spend $400!!! Come on really? Stop robbing the people who are keeping your store in business! It's bad enough we are being raped at the gas pumps and food registers, now you are adding insult to injury with this $100 more price tag! Where is the love for your fellow American? So many people are claiming to love this country so much, prove it!!! Stop making things harder for those who are already in a struggle when they come and patronize your businesses.

MORNING MIGRAINE...AFTERNOON RELIEF

             Good afternoon all! I went to bed earlier than normal last night thinking I would catch up on some much needed rest. My daughter woke up in the middle of the night, came in my bedroom and turned on a Dora dvd. Needless to say that woke me up and I was not happy about that. I already knew I was going to wake up with a migraine because of the broken sleep. I got up about 7:30 a.m. and there it was, headache greeting me before I could even yawn and stretch! I grabbed some water and my medicine as soon as I could. I had breakfast with my husband, then sat and had my cup of coffee. My head is feeling better now, thank God and the baby is napping. I am now a happy camper!!!! Have a blessed weekend!!! TGIF!!!

PREPPING FOR THE NOREASTER

    Damn...Hurricane Sandy has pounded New Jersey and just as we are getting back on track here comes something else!  I truly hated having to throw away my food that went bad! I pray this next storm does not knock out the power yet again. This gas situation is not making things any better. It limits what you can do and when you can go out and do what needs to be done. I pray things get back to normal around here soon.

HOPING...WISHING..AND PRAYING

           I have been battling with migraine headaches for about 13.5 years now. I have been to the doctors and specialists but I still suffer with migraines. Just recently went to be checked again for migraines and started a new medicine. I pray this one does something because Topomax wasn't doing the trick at all last time. My blood pressure is an issue now so I started medication for that too. I hate taking medicine on a daily basis but I have no choice. Please God let this work and little by little set me free from this medicine. I don't want to spend the rest of my days popping pills.

WINTER TIME....UGGHHHH!

          These brisk mornings are just a prelude to what's to come for WINTER. I don't know about you but I am not looking forward to having to put on layers of clothes. Plus winter time brings along all types of sickness that we all know the pharmaceutical companies enjoy. Flu shots, flu medicine, cold medicines, and the whole nine. The soup and tissue companies make out as well, but the Dr's is definitely getting paid! Try to stay warm and well this cold and flu season!

Another notice!!!

           I was heated to find another notice of a missed homework assignment for Isaiah! Enough is enough! The first notice, shame on him but the second, shame on me! I am getting things back on track up in here. He will not be going outside today! He will be getting a lecture on staying focused and getting your work done! Don't lie to me when I ask you if you finished your homework! Lying for the sake of going outside to play, that's not going down at this address! Alright alright...you gone learn da day!(In my Kevin Heart voice) Lol

TEXT VS TALK

     I truly understand that texting is an easy way to keep in touch with your friends and family, but will it kill you to talk sometimes? It seems like texting has just taken over and no one wants to actually use their voicebox anymore! Texting is okay but I would prefer to talk to folks, that's how we know we are alive! People want to text you to death but sometimes I can't keep responding if I have my hands full with babies and cleaning. I can mop and talk on the phone at the same time but having to keep stopping to read and respond to a text is really a nuisance! If someone is texting you and you ask them to call you on the phone instead they act as if you have just insulted them. Unbelievable...communicating via email and text all the time is not the business. If you are to busy to take a minute of your day to say hello on the good old telephone than oh well, see ya when I see ya!  #JUSTSAYIN#

PIZZA..PEPSI..COOL RANCH DORITOS

         Tonite I did not feel like cooking so we made it a take in Tuesday! I grabbed a few frozen Red Baron hand tossed pizzas and threw them in the oven. Needless to say the kiddies were satisfied. Hubby doesn't care for frozen pizza so I made him baked bbq chicken breasts with black beans and rice. Everyone's taste buds were satisfied and that made my night, thank you Jesus! Now I'm kicking back watching old episodes of The Love Boat. Good night all and God bless!!!

Dinner drama

     Why is it that you cook a nice meal for dinner and it's always a child or two who wants something else? I made garlic & cheddar mashed potatoes, baked bbq chicken breasts, baked beans, Southwestern style corn, and cornbread. One of my son's wanted soup and my oldest daughter wanted cereal! Really kids, are you serious?  Just another daily drama @ my house!

The Word Network

    A minister is going through the streets and talking to random people about God and hell. It's sad how some people said they don't care that the way they are living life now will damn them to hell later. Wow, that is really sad that they'd rather live unholy so much that they don't mind burning in hell for eternity. Only a fool!!!

24 HOUR MIGRAINE

       Good morning and God bless! I am recovering from a 24 hour migraine, thanking the Lord for the pain relief. Unfortunately I had a whole day of not getting anything done. Now it's time to play catch up on everything, not fun at all!! Wishing everyone a blessed weekend. Enjoy the weather today it's going to be a beautiful day.

POWER NAP PLEASE.....

      I am so tired and in need of a quick power nap. MiAsha took a late nap yesterday evening which led her to stay up later than usual. I didn't get much sleep and boy am I feeling it right about now. I am praying the baby takes a nap soon so I can join her.

No Break!!!

   Oh my goodness! Faith was really cranky off and on today. She wouldn't let anyone else hold her much so I didn't get a break today. She went down for a late nap and boy was I glad for the peace and quiet momentarily. She takes cat naps but I was enjoying my arms and hands being baby free.

MISSING HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT, ALREADY?

    My son had the nerve to come home with a missing homework assignment notice today! Really buddy? Now mind you they had a really long weekend so there is no reason for this. He had from last Friday until yesterday to finish that assignment. Can you say, more than enough time!! Please don't start the nonsense this early in the year. The mess @ Macy's

      My children and a friend of mine joined me yesterday in the mall. We went to the mall after eating at McDonald's. When we got into Macy's the Women's Department, I noticed this one lady was constantly around. IF we went left she went left, if we went right she met us on the right! Now mind you, she is a Macy's employee but she could have took her time tidying up or doing inventory. She chose to follow us around. First of all, I had the baby in my arms, no bags to put anything in. Tracey had her purse and that is all she had, no bags from any other stores. We were checking out their Women's dept and how they really don't offer much for woman younger than 60 yrs old! The worker was in that area. Then we left that area and went over to the Fall/Winter jackets. We look up and there's the same lady. After a few minutes we left because I didn't appreciate her watching us and I didn't want to tell her where to get off! It's sad to know that ignorance is still running ramped here in America! I thank God for Jesus because the old me would have definitely cut her with a few unkind words of wisdom! On that note, I am going to relax.

HEAD TRAUMA

      Today was horrible! I woke up about 6 a.m. with a serious migraine. It had me down all day and night. The vomiting spells, going to the bathroom, the hot and cold spells. I was a total mess all day and evening. I have a wedding to go to tomorrow and I didn't get anything done today that I wanted. I needed a pedicure and my eyebrows done. I am just hoping to feel better by morning so I can play catch up in this house. I have laundry to do and laundry to fold and put away. I have to change the linens on the beds, run to the dry cleaners, and the post office.
       My head is still pounding right now. I took something for it but it's still here! I am putting the baby down to bed for the second time this evening. I am having a cup of hot cocoa to help me relax before turning in myself. I am praying to get some good sleep and wake up refreshed and pain free. Sweet dreams America and God bless!!!

VITAMINS PLEASSSEEE!!!

         I am in need of some new vitamins. I am fresh out of my vitamin D, calcium, omega 3, Magnesium and B2. I still have some iron left but will need a refill on those soon. So much to do but very little energy and time to finish everything. Trying to run errands, tend to the house, cook dinner, take care of the baby, and entertain my 4 year old takes lots of energy. God give me strength to get it all done and still get a good night's rest.

Gasoline...wth?

         I would really love to know when gas prices will stop playing a ping pong game? The price of gasoline went up $0.20 in 24 hours! What..does someone call every gas station and say, you can up the price of gas today? The prices are going up on everything except your pay checks!!! When the price of gas keeps rising, so does everything else. When the price of gas goes down, nothing else seems to go down! Grocery stores and gas are really sticking it to us! It's like stepping in the ring with Tyson and Mayweather, you already know you don't stand a chance! God please help your people, we need help father. America, get on your knees and start depending on God because He is the only one who can help us. IF you didn't know before, I bet you know now. If you haven't been through anything in life yet that ran you to your knees in prayer, keep on living.

PRAYING FOR A BRIGHTER DAY

   Things in this world seem so out of control and hopeless at times. When you turn on the evening news it's just one senseless killing after another. Babies and young people are leaving this earth more than anyone these days. It's sad how mothers' and grandmothers' are burying their children and grandchildren. Parents are running out of children to leave anything to in their will.
   The way things are as of right now, we really need God to step in and make a change. This type of change can't through the Republicans or the Democrats, only Jesus can fix this mess. Pray for a brighter tomorrow for our children to inherit. Everyday I look upon my children's faces and wonder what the future holds for them. I pray for a brighter day for my kids sake and yours.

MITT ROMNEY & CLINT EASTWOOD????

 I watched MSNBC last night to try and see what the Republican party was going to be talking about. What the hell was Clint Eastwood doing? He looked crazy, that skit with him so called talking to Obama was stupid! Grow up, you are too damn old for that Mr. Eastwood! I was not feeling Mitt either. They both get the big thumbs down!!!

Gas station ... Beware of the games they play!

    I went to grab some gas on my way home from Stop & Shop. The gas attendant/owner approaches my vehicle while talking on his phone. I told him how much gas I want. I shook my head and told my kids in advance we would probably have to tell him again because he is on the damn phone. Sure enough as I am alive and well, he comes back to my window and asks a second time, how much? I tell him again and he repeats it back to me again. I tell him yes, again! So he walks away with my confirmation and I assumed he understood. So, I go back to talking with my children. One of my sons notice the gas machine is going past the amount I told the attendant. Now, mind you the attendant is standing there holding the nozzle and watching it go over. My other son yells and tells the attendant to stop he is going over. He stops the gas and pulls out the nozzle. Then he expects me to pay him for it. I told him, Mister I told you the amount twice and you acknowledged twice that you understood. Not only did he want me to pay him, he lied and tried to get $5 more than what  he went over. He was trying to be a scam artist and got his face crunched and his feelings hurt! I gave him the amount I originally asked for and kindly left. He tried to run game on the wrong one! It's a shame that you can't trust the damn gas attendants! Check the pump price before you pay them. Be sure they give you what you pay for. That's my drama for the day.

$2.39 @ 7-ELEVEN

  I ran out of dish detergent and I didn't have a spare bottle under the kitchen sink this time. I had to run out and grab some, but the closest store is 7-Eleven. You can get a big bottle of Ajax dish detergent for about $2.10 at most stores, unfortunately 7~Eleven doesn't carry that brand. They sell the smallest bottles of Dawn and Palmolive for $2.39. Why is that 7-Eleven is always trying to rip off the public? I tell ya, if they don't get you coming they get you going.

        RACIAL PROFILING @ THE GROCERY STORE

                         My children and I went to Shop Rite to grab a few items. We are minding our business grabbing some Frosted Flakes and I notice this Caucasian worker watching us. At first I didn't know what he was doing but I watched him a little longer as we proceeded down the aisle. As he noticed me watching him watch us he did the dumby move. He grabs a random box of pop tarts and acts as if he's reading the ingredients on the back. Now mind you, I have been shopping at this particular Shop Rite for about 16 years now. This is not the first time this has happened. Not once has anyone in my family taken anything from any store, boutique, flea market, department store, etc. For this to still be happening is a damn shame to say the least. I felt like snatching that punk up by his apron and asking him if he has a problem, but I decided to chill. If it happens again anytime soon, you can best believe I will have 7 On Your Side at their door! It's truly sad that ignorance is still alive and well and working through idiots that work with the public.
